A heartbeat of peace, suspended from gold. At DANU Ceramics, Ruth captures the quiet grace of a dove in flight—small, weightless, and impossibly delicate. Each porcelain dove pendant is hand-sculpted in Ireland, then transformed through layered colour glazes and luminous 24-carat gold accents. Because no two birds are painted alike, every necklace carries a completely unique personality.
The dove measures just 20–25mm across, yet its presence is unmistakable. Ruth shapes the soft porcelain body with outstretched wings, then fires it before beginning the intricate decoration. Using fine brushes, she applies colour glazes in three soft, expressive palettes:

Pink – A blush-toned dove, like first light on a cloud.

Teal – Deep and tranquil, evoking still water or twilight sky.

Blue – Clear and open, reminiscent of a perfect morning.
These glazes are not block-coloured. Instead, Ruth allows them to pool, streak, and fade across the bird’s wings and body—feathering the colour naturally, so each dove feels alive in motion. Over the coloured surface, she adds 24-carat gold detailing: a delicate gilding along the wingtips, a tiny gold eye, or a soft gold trail along the tail feathers. The effect is subtle, precious, and never overwhelming.
Each dove is finished on a gold fill chain, with a small jump ring that lets the bird pivot and tilt as if truly flying. Because every piece is hand-painted and fired individually, no two doves share identical glaze placement or gold strokes—your pendant is genuinely one of a kind.
