Each stud is a miniature hand-shaped piece of coloured ceramic—bright, matte, and endlessly wearable—finished with delicate 24-carat gold accents and secured with stainless steel backs for comfort and durability.
Ruth works with a playful palette of vibrant ceramic colours, each one mixed and applied by hand:

Beyond colour, variety extends to shape. Ruth offers an ever-evolving collection of small ceramic forms: perfect circles, soft squares, rounded triangles, miniature hexagons, teardrops, or tiny freeform pebbles. Each shape is cut, smoothed, and fired before the gold work begins.
The 24-carat gold accent is applied sparingly but intentionally: a fine gold rim, a single gilded dot at the centre, a delicate gold line dissecting the shape, or a tiny gold crescent along one edge. The contrast between the bold, opaque ceramic and the warm, precious metal is striking—modernist jewellery with a handcrafted soul.
Each stud is mounted on a stainless steel post and back—hypoallergenic, strong, and resistant to tarnish. This makes the earrings ideal for sensitive ears and for everyday wear, from morning coffee to evening out.
