Bramble’s story begins close to home. His plump, prickly little body is sculpted entirely from the softest, undyed wool, sourced from the sheep that graze our surrounding hills. Anne uses the demanding technique of needle felting, carefully coaxing the fibres into shape with a special barbed needle to create his wonderfully tactile form and endearing, inquisitive snout. The real signature of his character, however, is his back. Each Bramble is adorned with a unique patch of genuine, upcycled Irish tweed, carefully selected for its rustic texture and rich, earthy hues. This clever use of remnant fabric not only gives every hedgehog a distinct ‘coat’ but also honours a tradition of quality and repurposes material with history and heart.
